241 is not 414: Fixing my Backups
My Lightroom library currently contains 97,590 images. Initially, 414 of them were rated at 3 stars and above, and those are ones I want backed up to the cloud. However, my backup strategy was only going to include 241 of those images, so this wasn’t just a counting error: something, somewhere, was seriously wrong.

Last week, I sat down with Angie & Vero from @punkfishdiving for a bilingual chat about their quirky dive centre and the diving on La Palma.
40 minutes of laughter and inanity followed, I'm really looking forward to editing the footage. Here's a very quick preview, mainly to test the colour matching and editing workflow between Nikon N-Log and Sony S.Log3. More behind the scenes in The Log on my website – link in bio.

A skull and crossbones on the east wall of Llangelynnin Old Church, painted beneath the Ten Commandments in Welsh, near the altar. Date unknown.
The motif was common in medieval churches – a reminder of human mortality and the parts of the body required for resurrection.
Llangelynnin has been a place of worship for over nine centuries. It sits at 280m on the slopes of Tal y Fan above the Conwy valley, with no electricity, no heating, and no running water – @caruconwy hold a service on the third Sunday of every month during the summer. The centre dome at @designcentrech lets so much light flood into the atrium. Definitely worth looking up, the chandelier and decorations move in the wind.

The video rig is nearly there. Z50ii in the SmallRig cage, FTZ adapter and the F-mount 24–70 f/2.8 holding the fort until the 12-28 PZ arrives. First outings this week.
